Re: You guys waiting on June 30th

Yea, like a bid to the Big East should be kept private. Yes, I did trust my sources. They came from people that were genuinely excited about the possibility, and in that excitement, exurberance came out, when it shouldn't have. Yes, I believe things are on hold, and that is coming from the very sam...

Re: No Eagles make the Conerly cut

So does inexperience work for coaches as well? Sure it does. I'm sure Fedora's a better coach now than he was when he was hired, and he'd probably be the first to admit it. The point here is not that Fedora may or may not have improved over time--as would be expected with any intelligent creatu...

Re: No Eagles make the Conerly cut

4 players don't make a team. Especially on defense if 3 of the players in question are on offense. We had a boatload of inexperienced players, who by the time they finished 2/3s of the season weren't so inexperienced anymore. It's not that hard to figure out. Of course, that simple explanation ...

I find it interesting that now folks are backing up from that demand of "getting to the next level" with just enjoying the style of play. Now if that had put some more butts in the stands then I'd buy that point. But it hasn't ....only winning big will do that. And for the money we ar...

It is at least fun to watch this year. Hasn't been that way in a long time. Enjoyed the wins many times, but enjoy the games now. Many games I stomached being a die-hard in previous years. Also appears we didn't drop off with the change in coach. Looks like we are as good (much better in my opinion...

Re: A mighty impressive list of wins for the Fighting Fedora's..

Bower should be left out of this . He is no longer the coach, or maybe we should compare Coach Fedora to PW Underwood or maybe Jim Carmody. Why don't we give Coach Bower a break? No F'n way. The man may have destroyed the USM football program. It will take a miracle to reconstruct it. We have a sl...

Re: Fedora in a panic for first CUSA win....

Memories are a funny thing. So I guess you'll take two coaches which rode the backs of two of our best ever QB's to another job over 14 winning seasons. I remember beating Florida State to lose the next week to Mississippi State...we all remember the "big" wins but do we remember the &q...

Re: Fedora in a panic for first CUSA win....

Bower??? Is that you. If so, could I please have the last 8 years of my football life back. You couldn't even win your first game with the greatest QB in Southern Miss history and possibly the greatest in the NFL. When you land a new job (which is doubtful) at a bottom dweller non-bcs team, I'...

First off I am gonna give Fedora everyone of the four years I gave Bower before I started calling for his removal. However at this point (and this is going to be highly criticized) I am glad that the 14 year winning streak is going to come to a end. Yeap you heard it right! Absolutely positively gi...
